“ Had a great Father’s Day weekend dinner tonight at Shy’s. This was our second time and it did not disappoint. Beautiful patio, amazing service and delicious food. My Mom accidentally spilled her full glass of wine (!) all over our table and the lovely service team sprang into action, immediately cleaning the table and replacing our appetizers and wine so quickly. They reassured my Mom it wasn’t a problem at all which made her feel so much better. Thank you for a wonderful experience! You have a very strong service team. ”

“ I visited on a Saturday morning, and it was such a treat. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming—perfect for starting the day. I tried their eggs benedict, and it was spot-on! The eggs were perfectly poached, and the hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. My friend had the avocado toast with poached eggs, and it was fresh and beautifully plated. The portions were generous, and everything tasted as good as it looked. Our server was attentive and made sure our coffee cups were never empty. Prices are fair for the quality, and the whole experience left me wanting to come back again soon. Highly recommend Shy’s Place if you’re looking for a delicious breakfast to kick off your day! ”
“ Hi - We came over for lunch. The soup (veggie, potato, garlic) was insanely fantastic!!! I thought I made the best soups but this burst with flavours. It was so good. The chicken naan was also very flavourful but a tad messy. Due to all the amazing flavours, it was tolerable. Our waiter was very friendly and quick with his service (cool socks). The patio was great. However, it would have been best if we could have sat farther from Hwy 5. Not the best LOUD hwy noise. We’ve already told a number of people about our experience. I’m sure some of them will try it out. We’ll be back for sure. Thanks. ”

“ My second time here for breakfast and it delivered again. Very cool eclectic vibe on the inside & pretty unique with its layout. Food was very tasty & the portion size was more than fair. The french toast stole the show...was a straight 10/10. Must have if you come for breakfast. The only knock I have is the food took way too long to come out. Close to an hour. I don’t know if it was a one off experience for today but it really did take a while. Other than that it checked off all the boxes. Ample parking too so that’s not an issue. ”

Dan was chatting us up and the gentleman that ended up as our server (Spencer) joined the conversation as soon as he walked in the room. It was happy hour, so the food options were limited. We ordered all 4 food options and they were incredible. ”
“ Beautiful country home restaurant. The walls are covered with historic news clippings from the Queen, Princess Dianna, Churchill, past president's and sports teams. Lots of memorabilia as well. Floors are old fashion wood. There are a number of smaller rooms so you never feel crowded and could easily hear everyone at the table. The service was great. They were very attentive. The menu was so hard to chose from. Everything sounded amazing. we had a table of 5 people and food came out quickly. Their Calamari was to die for. So fresh and tender. Everyone loved their meal choices. They change their menu regularly and have dishes for the given season. I want to try their weekend brunch as well. ”
